  • Opal Franklin

    Full Spectrum Birthworker and Writer

    Meet Opal, a full-spectrum doula and writer from Oakland, CA. She is a fierce advocate for Reproductive Justice, focusing on foster care and child welfare reform by showcasing her own intersectional experiences through writing, music and community stewardship.

    Currently, she produces content under the moniker @StoryNoir. Her favorite forms of self-care are through somatic movement, spending time by the water and cooking.

  • Moises Cruz Jauregui (he/elle/they)

    Activist, Fashionista and Spicy Latin Performer

    Moises Cruz Jauregui was born in Mexico. Since 2015 is living in the Bay Area and since then, he is a great advocate for the Immigrant Community, especially the LGBTQ. A passion of theirs is to work with the Latinx Community. In their personal time, Moises spends time as part of the Sisters Of Perpetual Indulgence in San Francisco, and Fashion Design is part of their passions. Moises believes in a community free of stigma, Unified, and ready to embrace each other’s qualities. Currently, he works in HIV Prevention.

    Joi Finister is an innovative creative force known for her unique approach to event hosting and her exquisite handcrafted personalized pieces in both home decor and fashion. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for originality, Joi transforms everyday items into extraordinary works of art.

    Beyond her professional endeavors, Joi is deeply committed to her community, dedicating much of her time to volunteering with youth. Joi’s love of music, fashion, and her role as a devoted mother to her amazing daughter are central to her life, inspiring her work and enriching her vibrant, multifaceted career.

    Destiny is an all-around creative, healer, and sex educator based in the Bay Area with roots in San Diego. Through her work at a clean intimate care brand, she champions accessibility in sex education, with a special focus on empowering queer people of color.   • Taylor Nanz (she/her/That Girl)

    Social Architect & Community Builder

    Taylor Nanz is a multifaceted social architect, conversation facilitator, host and community builder based in Oakland, CA. She is the Founder of Solid Grounds, a curatorial event production company dedicated to amplifying Black & Brown creatives and fostering community connections through innovative events. She also co-organizes the Soul Box Supper Club with Chef Tirzah Love, an immersive dining experience offering a modern take on Sunday Suppers with guided conversations, art and live entertainment. Prior to becoming a full-time entrepreneur, she built her career in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion across tech startups like Quora and Udemy. Outside of her career, Taylor is a pole fitness enthusiast and teaches a Somatic Sunday and Wellness Wednesday pole dance class for Black & Brown Women, promoting wellness and empowerment to women of color. Taylor’s personal mission is to break systemic barriers to opportunity and create authentic, inclusive spaces to share resources and uplift community.

    Celebrity Chef

    Tirzah Love, is a renowned Celebrity Chef and event producer with a decade of expertise. With a focus on community-centric events, Chef Tirzah passionately emphasizes organic, fresh food experiences through her Meal Experience Kit, SOUL BOX, and attached supper club series. Her culinary prowess has graced top platforms, including Food Network's Beat Bobby Flay and HBO's The Great Soul Food Cook Off. Recognized as one of Essence magazine's "7 Dope Chefs You Should Know," Tirzah Love brings a blend of skill, creativity, and culinary flair to every occasion.

  • Lyn Patterson (she/they)

    Host of Adult Happy Hour

    Lyn Patterson is a multifaceted artist and educator currently thriving in the vibrant city of Oakland, CA. As the host of the Adult Happy Hour podcast, she facilitates conversation and learning around sex, sensuality, eroticism, self-actualization, love, belonging and so much more. She believes that relationships should be places of liberation but has found that the power dynamics which pervade our society are often mirrored in our most intimate spaces. Therefore, Lyn is passionate about creating space for Black people of all ages, genders, and experiences to explore their interests in topics that are typically seen as taboo. When she is not podcasting you can find her leading workshops on kink exploration, volunteering as a dungeon monitor for queer/femme/trans play parties, and salsa dancing up a storm!

  • Kristina Modeste (she/they)

    Couples Therapist and Wellness Facilitator

    Born and raised in the Bay Area, Kristina serves her community as a couple's therapist and wellness facilitator. Through her private practice, Sacred Mirrors, she prioritizes her services for community members existing under LGBTQIA+, kinky, non-monogamous, and sex worker identities. Her integrative approach holds space for curiosity, play, and pleasure as she guides her clients towards a version of healing authentic to their human experience. As a wellness facilitator she combines somatic movement and nurturing breathwork to invite folks into deep conversation with each sensation of the body.

  • Bella Aldama

    SEXUAL HEALTH ADVOCATE & DRAG QUEEN

    Bella Aldama, hailing from the vibrant city of Guadalajara, Mexico, is the embodiment of resilience and empowerment. Over a decade ago, Bella embarked on a journey that would transform her into a remarkable Drag Queen, with a mission to represent and uplift the LGBTQI+ Spanish-speaking community.

    Bella's passion for fostering inclusivity and love extends far beyond the stage. She has been the driving force behind the heartwarming Drag Queen Story Hour in various local towns, including Concord, Sacramento, El Cerrito, and Brentwood.

  • Kenya Aissa (she/her)

    Self-Care Strategist

    Kenya Aissa, MS, is the owner of Ruby Envy Wellness LLC. Kenya is a yoga teacher (E-RYT, RYT-500, YACEP), award-winning makeup artist, workshop facilitator, and dancer specializing in healing through movement, and her passion is using the creative arts to support the journey of healing and self-discovery. She’s the author of the book “Sacred Girl: Spiritual Life Skills for Conscious Young Women”, and her extensive training in anatomy, womb wellness, and women’s sexuality inspired the creation of her weekly workshop, Pussy Yoga With Kenya. Her second book, “Independent Wife” will be released in 2024. Kenya is the co-host of the weekly radio show, “The Anything Can Happen Show” on 96.9 KGPC.

    Affectionately known as ShaeisLove, La’Shae is an inspiring Sex Educator and Love and Intimacy Coach hailing from the vibrant Bay Area, CA. With roots tracing back to Pittsburg, CA, she maintains a deep connection to her origins.

    In her life's journey, La'Shae embodies a profound commitment to holistic well-being. Even on those days when life may seem a bit askew, she intentionally seeks moments to realign, fostering harmony within her body, emotions, and mind. Through the highs and lows, La'Shae stands resolute in her practice of self-awareness, reflecting this dedication in her public presence.

    SEXUAL HEALTH ADVOCATE & PHOTOGRAPHER

    A Bay Area creative most known for his contributions to the fashion community in San Francisco and Oakland. David Michael uses his art and voice to advocate for HIV/AIDS in an attempt to educate his community on treatment, how to combat stigmas, and the importance of encouraging a safe and healthy lifestyle.

    “It’s important to me to be a voice in my community, especially as a Black Gay Male living with HIV, who is from the Bay Area. The current climate of the world calls for a dramatic focus on health in the black community as we face some of the highest risks related to Covid19 and other disproportionate disadvantages daily.”

    COMEDIAN, ENTERTAINER, & WRITER

    Award-winning stand-up comedian. writer. entertainer. Sampson has a lighthearted, down-to-earth, conversational, comedy style that oftentimes allows him to weave between silly and serious topics, that include religion, sexuality, and politics in an effective, honest way, while still managing to allow all audiences to understand his point of view.
